once upon a time…
an important, and rare full galleried corner store,
w/ a mansard roof! a city landmark, back in 1978.
now demolished,and long gone…
as debate begins about taking down the I-10 Claiborne overpass…
and bringing together the neighborhoods of Treme, Esplalnade and Central/ Mid- City together, again…

friends are following me and my polaroid sx70 shots of new Orelans , from 1980, now and finding places and the corners i had seen 30 years ago. it is a compliment i do not know quite how to respond to, the response to the polaroids of mine, is beyond my belief. but hey cool , the test of time may tell, what the future is than no maore than the past. on ward DEFEND NEW ORLEANS, now and then, today and tomorrow.
